New name, new logo – but with a link to our past

You will have noticed we have changed our branding as you are reading this on our new website www.hca.group. Our email addresses have also changed. So, for example, instead of contacting us at name@hannawayca.co.uk the new address is name@hca.group. Don’t worry if you have sent emails to the old addresses, as we will continue to receive them. Please do check out the rest of our new website and let us know what you think.

Why the change?

When John Hannaway decided to form a new Hannaway Corporate Advisory firm in 2013, Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) did not permit the words “chartered accountants” to be used in the registered name of a company and thus HANNAWAYCA Limited, trading as HannawayCA, chartered accountants, was formed. The logo picked up on the four letters “A” in the practice name:

Later, the companies HCA Business Recovery Limited and HCA Corporate Finance Limited joined our growing stable of companies, and in January 2022 we added our cloud accounting company Magic Beans to the HCA family www.magicbeans.online.

Today CAI has a more relaxed attitude to practice names, and we are permitted to change the name HannawayCA Limited to HCA Chartered Accountants Ltd. So, we can now have consistency of naming our companies with the letters HCA followed by the individual specialism, which provides an ideal platform for future growth and diversification of companies within the HCA (Hannaway Corporate Advisory) group. As the firm continues to grow and develop, I expect that we will have further HCA specialist services.

To “tie” everything together we have created a new, contemporary logo which incorporates the key parts of the previous logo, with new colouring and sub brands for each company:

Magic Beans, very much part of the HCA family, will continue to be branded separately.

Hopefully you like our new branding as much as we do!

Finally, thank you for taking the time to read this, and best wishes for 2022.
